Beauty with a captial B – part II
Beauty with a capital B – part 1.
How do we define Beauty? When discovering Beauty we have to recognize two things:
- that there are qualities present in a situation, thing or person that 2) elicit an exalted state of mind or spirit.
The experience of Beauty is not a passive one. The experience of Beauty is actually all about our individual relationship to a situation, thing or person.
Beauty, in fact, is the result of a crystallizing moment which rises up out of an infinite number of personal connections to environmental qualities… texture that reminds one of the gingham dress worn by her mother, musty smell of a lover, color that draws out memories of a deep-sea dive, misty relics of a dream. As individuals we must have the capacity to experience it, in order for it to exist. Therefore, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder . How developed is your aesthetic intelligence?
